ROANOKE NORTH IMPROVES TO 6-0 AFTER BEATING WEST

Roanoke North improved to 6-0 Monday with an 11-7 American Legion baseball victory over Roanoke West. Keith Bryant earned the win, allowing six hits and striking out seven in seven innings. Kevin Saunders doubled and scored three runs, Gary Wiggins went 2-for-2 with a double and a home run, and Doug Mundy went 2-for-5 with a double for North.

Kelly Dampeer and Jason Anderson each had two hits for West (2-3).
