OBIT PARKS, CARL ALEXANDER

PARKS, Carl Alexander, 83, of 1225 Newbern Road, Pulaski, died Sunday evening, June 27, 1993, in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born August 3, 1909, in Smyth County, Va., he was the son of the late Richard Lee Parks and Jenny Haga Parks. He is survived by his wife, Frances Jones Parks; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin "Sandra" Williams of Dublin; two sisters, Thelma Palmer of Pulaski, and Martha Glass of Tampa, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Stevens and Bill Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday afternoon and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
