OBIT-PAINTER, RALPH WAYNE
PAINTER, Ralph Wayne, 53, of Roanoke, died Thursday, July 1, 1993. Mr.
Painter was a member of Catawba Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by
his parents, John L. and Bessie H. Painter; and a brother, Edward J. Painter.
Mr. Painter was employed by the Yokohoma Tire Corp., for 23 years, and served
in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Ola Cox Painter; a son, Fredrick
A. Painter, both of Roanoke; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul E. and Margorie
Painter, Melvin Painter; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen C. Painter, Pauline
and Gene Rhodes, all of Catawba; a number of nieces and nephews; and many
devoted friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3, 1993, 2:30
p.m., at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Burial
to follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery, Botetourt County. The family will receive
friends at Oakey's North Chapel, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
