In an article on Friday's business page, an error was contained in the tabulation of half-year results of stock picks recommended by brokerage houses last January.

The stock Owens & Minor, recommended by Scott & Stringfellow, actually gained 40.7 percent. That changed Scott & Stringfellow's overall average on the portfolio to a loss of 1 percent. It did not alter the relative position to other brokerage houses.
