PULASKI HAS KIDS' ART PROGRAMS

The summer arts programs for children by the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley are about to start a new series of course offerings.

Four courses will start Monday and continue through Friday.

Origami, the making of paper sculptures using Japanese folk art techniques, for ages 7-10 each day from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Kim Polletti is the instructor. The sessions will be at the Fine Arts Center at 21 W. Main St.

The other three will be held at the Pulaski Woman's Club Annex at 44 Fourth St., and will be instructed by Elizabeth Shrader.

Introduction to drawing with pencil, charcoal and ink will be offered for ages 9-14 each day from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and another series for ages 15-18 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Jewelry making in which students ages 9-15 will design and create their own necklaces, hair barrettes, earrings and other items, will be 3 to 4:15 p.m.

Registration forms are available at the Fine Arts Center. Each one-week class costs $20. Pre-registration is required. Call 980-7363.
