OBIT-HAMMONS, FRANKIE BLAKE

HAMMONS, Frankie Blake, 46, of Pearisburg, died Thursday, July 1, 1993, in Giles Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Hammons was a boilermaker by trade; and a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 45 of Richmond. He was born in Pearisburg on August 23, 1946, and was a son of the late James F. and Ida Harrell Hammons. He is survived by a wife, Brenda Brown Hammons of Pearisburg; one son, Anthony Blake Hammons of Eggleston; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Mark Harless of Eggleston; brother and sister-in-law, James (Jimmy) and Jo Ann Hammons of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Donald Dunn of Pearisburg; several nieces, nephews and aunts. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 5, 1993, at 11 a.m. in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn and the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
