OBIT-MEADOWS, EARL FRANKLIN SR.

MEADOWS, Earl Franklin Sr., 87, of Pearisburg, died Thursday, July 1, 1993, in Giles Memorial Hospital. Mr. Meadows was a retired employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Corp. He was born in Winfield, W.Va. on April 29, 1906, and was a son of the late Thomas, and Catherine McClain Meadows. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mamie Chandler Meadows; and two sons, Clifton (Tony) Meadows Sr., Pearisburg; Earl Meadow Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.; five daughters, Faye Smith, Pearisburg; Carolyn Hamill, Indwood, W.Va.; Shirley McDaniel, Narrows; Judy Dixon, Wytheville; Joyce Altizer, Wytheville. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 4, 1993, at 3 p.m., in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn, and the Rev. Shirley Rogers officiating. Burial in Birchlawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
