FRIDY-NEWMAN

Karen Anne Newman and JamesHardin Fridy, Jr. were married June 5, 1993, in Centenary United Methodist Church, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Reverend Ted Troutman and theReverend Robert A. Hall, Jr. officiated.

Lisa Tapella of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie Jenney of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Stefani McNair of Falls Church, Virginia. Nancy Newman,sister-in-law of the bride, and LibbyFridy, sister of the groom, attended the guest registry. Bob Fridy of Halifax,Virginia, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Tim Holt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, brother-in-law of the groom, and Chuck Deluca of Lewisville, North Carolina.

The bride is the daughter of Howard and Betty Newman of Christiansburg. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Interior Design and is an owner andprincipal of Innerplan, Inc., a commercial interior design firm in Kernersville, North Carolina. The groom is the son of James and Helen Fridy of Clemmons, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an AB in Economics and is plant manager for Van Waters and Rogers in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Following a honeymoon trip through Virginia, the couple will live in Pfafftown, North Carolina.
