OBIT-UNDERWOOD, OAKEY STUMP

UNDERWOOD, Oakey Stump, 83, of Roanoke County, died Friday, July 2, 1993. She was a member of Garden City Baptist Church and was the widow of Kemp D. Underwood. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kemp D. Jr and Vada Underwood, Springhill,Kan.; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Underwood Thomas, Roanoke, Geraldine U. and Charlie Shockley, Thaxton, Renda U. and Wendel Ingram, Salem; a sister, Lila Massey, Roanoke; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, Tuesday July 6, 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Don McCaskill officiating. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
