N.Y. TEEN CHARGED AFTER 2 HURT IN WRECK

Police have charged a New York City teen-ager with reckless driving in connection with a weekend accident that injured two people.

Capt. Earl Willis said the 17-year-old girl hit the accelerator instead of the brake as she was pulling into a parking space.

One of the injured, Catherine McMillan of Newport News, was pinned under the car when it crashed into her motel room Saturday.

She was in critical condition Monday at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Her sister, Frances White of Harrisburg, Pa., was treated at a Danville hospital and released.
