OBIT-SMITH, ALICE BELL

SMITH, Alice Bell, 70, of Bristol, formerly of Saltville, died Monday, July 5, 1993, in the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. Miss Smith was a retired employee of WCYB - TV and had worked with a Congressional Representative and a Lieutenant Governor in the State of Virginia. Survivors include four brothers, Don Smith of Columbia, S.C., Phil Smith, Wayne Smith and Roger Smith, all of Saltville; three sisters, Maisie Cahill of Saltville, Connie D'Vorak of Monroe, Conn. and Bettie Brisco of Christiansburg; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in the Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville with the Rev. Dan Jividen officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the D. R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville.
