Each library has a lottery list from which the young readers with library cards will choose books.
Once a book is read, the reader will get a form from the librarian on which to answer a question about the book and mark a choice from among the prizes available.
Prizes include $100 in cash, a Magnavox portable CD player, Jansport backpack, AM-FM clock radio-cassette player-telephone, box of Fleer baseball cards and a Game Boy.
Participants can read as many books on the list as they wish, thereby increasing their chances of winning a prize. The drawing for winners will be Aug. 9.
