CRIME LINE

Burglars, roving the interstate, are the subject of this month's Crime Line.

During the past three months, a group of burglars, moving along Interstate 81 have broken into homes in the Roanoke Valley, sometimes entering through unlocked doors and windows. Once inside, they have stolen all types of silver serving sets and flatware, gold, diamond watches and expensive jewelry.

Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for information that leads to arrest and indictment in connection with these and other crimes. Anyone with information may call 344-8500 and give the information anonymously. The caller is given a number that is used for identification and need not give a name.
