The Dixie Majors (ages 15-18) begins play tonight at 7 at Calfee Park as Christiansburg meets Montgomery County. Other first-round games are Montgomery County vs. Pulaski County/Town on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and Christiansburg vs. Pulaski Sunday at 6 p.m.
The first championship game will be Monday at 8:30 p.m. If two teams are still alive in the double-elimination tournament after that contest, the "if-needed" game will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
The tournament winner goes on to the state tournament, July 23-28 in Buckingham.
The Dixie Pre-Majors (ages 15-16) is also at Calfee Park. It starts Saturday as Pulaski County/Town plays Radford at noon. Also on Saturday, Christiansburg plays Floyd County at 2:30 p.m. and Carroll County and Wythe County meet at 5 p.m.
The first championship game will be Wednesday at 6 p.m., with the second championship game, if needed, following at 8:30 p.m.m. The winner goes on to the state tournament, July 23-28 in Rocky Mount.
The Dixie Boys (ages 13-14) will play on two fields at Loving Field. Saturday morning at 10, Pulaski County plays Galax and Radford takes on Wythe County. Then at noon, Grayson County meets Carroll County, while Pulaski County/Town takes on Floyd County.
The first championship game will be Wednesday at 6 p.m., with the second championship game, if needed, following at 8:30 p.m. The winner goes on to the state tournament, July 23-28 in Appomattox.
