OBIT DAVIS, GEORGE S.

DAVIS, George S., 49, of Route 3, Rocky Mount, died Thursday, July 8, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty B. Davis; one daughter, Miss Norma Davis; one son, George Junior Davis, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Bettie B. Davis, Penhook; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Morrison, Mrs. Beatrice Wright, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Louise Morrison and Mrs. Virginia Wright, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, Clarence Davis, Penhook, James Paul Davis, Rocky Mount; one granddaughter, NaCasha Davis of the home; a close family friend, Miss Sindy Shields, Glade Hill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday 2 p.m. at the Franklin Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Wade officiating. The family will receive friends at Stanfield Mortuary Chapel on Sunday 7 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Watson Level Church Cemetery.
