DUNCAN-COLE

Laura Aimee Cole and Michael Allen Duncan were united in marriage at Bethel Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, on July 10, 1993. The Reverend R. Stuart Carlton, pastor of the church, officiated.

The reception was held at LaMaison following the wedding ceremony.

The double ring ceremony took place at half past four o'clock. The music was provided by a string quartet including Benedict Goodfriend, Jane Wang, Martin Irving, and Alan Winestein.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dave E. Cole. Julie Welford of Salem was maid of honor. Attendants were Jennifer Thompson and Stephanie Martin, both of Salem. Katy Mishoe,cousin of the bride, was juniorbridesmaid; and MacKinsey Mishoe, also cousin of the bride was flowergirl, both are from Birmingham, Alabama.

Eddie Wade of Roanoke, was best man. Groomsmen included Dee Smith and Robert Gutherie of Salem, and JeffDooley of Alexandria, Va. The book was attended by Allison Reese and DavidDunkenberger.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave E. Cole of Salem; and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jones, Mrs. Betty Sadler, both of Salem, and Mr. Ed Cole of Norfolk. The bride is now attending Radford University.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell J. Duncan of Salem; and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Cole Huddle of Salem, Mrs. Lexi Duncan of Ironto, and the late Russell J. Duncan, Sr. The groom is presently employed by Ditch Witch of Roanoke.

Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will make their home in Salem.
