WRIGHT, Frank Hillis, 99, of 1591 Link Road, Bedford, died Saturday, July
10, 1993, in a Roanoke nursing home. He was born in Bedford County August 10,
1893, son of the late Lewis Wright and Lockie Laughlin Wright. Mr. Wright was
a retired employee of C&P Telephone Co., with 44 years of service. A veteran
of World War I, he served as a Private First Class with the Overseas 37th
Engineers. His wife was the late Clara Bridgette Patterson Wright. He is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Horace W. Wright and Virginia C. Wright
of Roanoke; several nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the
graveside at Nicopolis United Methodist Church Cemetery Tuesday, July 13,
1993, at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass Jr. officiating. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
