OBIT ALTIZER, ROY SHELOR

ALTIZER, Roy Shelor, 86, of Christiansburg, died Monday, July 12, 1993, in Radford Community Hospital. He was a life long member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Light Altizer and three brothers. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Reginald W. and Pat Altizer, Christiansburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Regina A. and Howard G. Spradlin Jr., Greensboro, N.C., Barbara Jean Altizer, Blacksburg; grandchildren, Chris, Jason and Jeremy Spradlin, Greensboro, N.C., Suzanne Altizer, Colonial Heights, Todd and Kevin Altizer, of the home; two brothers, and a sister-in-law, A. Lowell and Faye Altizer, Collinsville, Percy Q. Altizer, Roanoke; one sister, Orpha A. Elkins, Radford; a sister-in-law, Gloria M. Altizer, Roanoke; a special devoted friend, Lyman J. Jones. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Mr. Clarence Lavender with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
