OBIT WATSON, VERA VIRGINIA
WATSON, Vera Virginia, 84, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 13, 1993, in a
local hospital. Her residence was Wilshire Ave. S.W. She was the widow of Paul
W. Watson. She was a graduate of West Virginia University, received her
masters degree from George Washington University, and had graduate studies at
Northwestern University. Mrs. Watson was a member of Covenant Presbyterian
Church, a life member of West Virginia University Alumni Association, a member
of Gamma Phi Beta, and a member of Pi Lambda Theta (National Honor and
Professional Association). Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Harry J. Ramsay,
Denver, Colo.; two nephews, Robert D. Ramsay, Arvada, Colo., and Scott
McDonald, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 11
a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jim Riach officiating. Interment will follow in
Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be
made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1831 Deyerle Road, S.W., Roanoke, VA
24018. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
