OBIT FOREMAN, AUDREY LEORA
FOREMAN, Audrey Leora 79, of Chesapeake, passed away Monday, July 12,
1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Foreman Sr. She was
employed at Norfolk Community Hospital as a nurse before retiring. She was a
member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as a member of the
Deaconess Board, Usher Board, and Missionary Society. She was Past Matron of
the Order of Eastern Star, Venus Chapter No. 42, also Past Matron of Ivory
Idea Tent, No. 622. Survivors include two daughters, Ida Williams and Eula
Bullock, both of Chesapeake; three sisters, Margaret Taylor, Elsie Goode, both
of Norfolk, and Blanche Spence, Chesapeake; one brother, Marcellus Bracey,
Norfolk; fourteen grandchildren, among them Connie Steele, wife of Rev. Dwight
Steele of Roanoke; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist
Church, Chesapeake. Rev. George Davis will officiate with interment in
Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Serenity Funeral Home, 610 Green St.,
Portsmouth, Va. is in charge of the arrangements. Their phone number is
