HEARING SET AUG. 5 ON ELECTORAL PROCESS

The joint legislative subcommittee studying ways to improve the registration and electoral process and encourage voter participation will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at Virginia Highlands Community College.

The hearing is to give the public a chance to comment on Virginia's electoral process and suggest ways to encourage voter participation.

Another hearing is scheduled in Richmond Sept. 8. - Southwest bureau
