OBIT-SHOWALTER, GLADYS W. ("WINKY")

SHOWALTER, Gladys W. ("Winky"), 51, of Radford, died Wednesday, July 14, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ricky and Beverly Showalter, Roanoke, Mark Showalter, Riner; one daughter, Dana Showalter, Radford; a granddaughter, Amanda; and a grandson, Tevin; her mother, Lucy R. Willis, Blacksburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Jack Williams, Margaret Fleming, all of Blacksburg, Ruby and Jack Gallagher, Newport; a brother, Robert Willis, Roanoke; three half brothers, Lescoe Furrow, Roscoe Furrow, both of Christiansburg, Jackie Willis, Blacksburg; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be noon on Saturday, July 17, at the Gateway Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. D. O. Weaver Jr. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Our Daily Bread Kitchen, Radford or Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
