PLEASE, NO MORE UNWANTED CHILDREN

I TAKE MY hat off to Lee Fitzgerald for writing what I have felt for years (July 10 letter, "Pregnancy is the ultimate weapon for male dominance"). Wow, what a letter! I have never written to a newspaper, but I must comment.

Her letter summarizes my feelings about the pro-life movement. If abortion were truly an issue of life, why aren't these people fighting for the rights of children who are suffering from abuse, neglect, molestation, hunger, etc.? I cry for these children. Let's not bring more unwanted children into the world. Abortion clearly is an issue of controlling women. LINNEA McDONALD MONETA
