ECHEVARRIA-DEATON

Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Phillips of Pulaski announce the engagement of her son, James Byron Deaton of Atlanta, Ga., to Laura Marie Echevarria of Atlanta, Ga.

The groom-elect is also the son of the late Ralph William Deaton. He is a 1983 graduate of Pulaski County High School and a 1987 graduate of Emory & Henry College where he obtained a degree in business management.

The bride-elect is a 1988 graduate of Meadow Creek High School in Atlanta with gold seal honors. She earned her associate degree in accounting and an associate degree in interior/architectural design from Georgia State University.

The wedding is planned for November 6 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga.
