Kelli is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Miller, Jr., of Copper Hill; the granddaughter of Mrs. Hallie G. Miller of Copper Hill, and the late William J. Miller of Durham, N.C.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. H. Earl Anderson of Durham, N.C.
Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Nichols of Floyd, Va.; and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Lacy of Vienna, Va; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Brammer C. Nichols of Floyd, Va.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, William J. Miller.
Kelli wore a designer gown by Eve of Milady of New York of white satin with a sweetheart neckline and plunging back. The dress featured a natural waist and had sheer puff sleeves. The entire gown was detailed with pearls, beadedappliques, and irridescent sequins.Buttons and bow with a beaded applique accented the back. The gown fell into a trumpet skirt detailed with beadedappliques which extended to the semi-cathedral train. Her headpiece ofmatching scalloped-edge illusion fell from a satin rose bow accented with pearls and sequins, and extended tocathedral length. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of Rubrum lilies, white lilies and purple statice.
Ellen Harman of Willis, Va., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were SharonHarman of Willis, Va., Jennifer Stinnettt of Stuarts Draft, Va., both friends of the bride; Shelia Miller of Barnwell, S.C., and Loren Thomas of Roanoke, bothsisters-in-law of the bride.
Best man was Donald R. Nichols of Floyd, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Todd Miller of Pottstown, Pa.,Shannon Atkins of Floyd, both friends of the groom; and Eli Williams of Roanoke, and John Miller of Barnwell, S.C., brothers of the bride.
Flowergirls were Miss KimberlyBattle, daughter of Mike and AnnetteBattle of Floyd; and Miss Stephine Link, daughter of Clay and Kathy Link ofCopper Hill. Ringbearer was Master Kiah Porter, son of Dan Porter and NoelCarson of Alum Ridge.
Mrs. Karen Clark of Bridgewater, Va. attended the guestbook; and Misses Kim Reece of Indian Valley, and KimThompson of Floyd, distributedprograms.
Wedding music was provided by the Kinzie String Quartet of Roanoke; Mrs. Cheryl Waldron of Bent Mountain,organist; and Mrs. Karen Moran ofCopper Hill, pianist. The wedding party entered the church to Pachelbel's Canon in D., and recessed top Handel's Chorus #44 from the Messiah. Karen Smith of Harrisonburg, sang Ava Maria andMichael Williams of Rhoadesville, Va., sang The Lord's Prayer. Both Karen and Michael joined in a duet of Always,accompanied by Mark Whetsel ofHarrisonburg, on guitar.
A dinner reception followed theceremony on the church grounds under lighted tents. The centerpiece of thereception was a five-tiered, octagonally-shaped cake made by Karen Foster of Salem. The cake featured a differentflavor for each tier and was adorned with a garland of fresh flowers cascading down the cake. The dinner was catered byKaren's Cakes and Catering of Salem. The Kinzie String Quartet provided music for the reception.
Wedding consultant was VaundaLeftwich of Roanoke, who also directed the wedding. Videography was byPrecious Moments Video and photography was provided by Robert Leftwich Photography and Warren Gilbert Studios. Flowers were by Blumen Haus.
The bride is a 1990 graduate of Floyd County High School and a 1993 graduate of Bridgewater College with a B.S. in Health Science. Kelli will begin working for Bridgewater College August 1st.
Stephen is a 1989 graduate of Floyd County High School and a 1993 graduate of Bridgewater College with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics. He is employed by TransAmerica Marketing Company in Harrisonburg, Va.
After a honeymoon trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Bridgewater, Va.
