WIDDOWSON-PUGH

Susan Leigh Pugh and Gregory Wade Widdowson were married July 17, 1993 at the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. Rev. Harold Moyer, pastor of the church, and Rev. Ed Woodard, pastor at the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, officiated. The reception, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel. The matron of honor was Laurie Cianelli, sister to the bride. The bridesmaids were Stacey Fyock, cousin to the groom; Valerie Fyock, cousin to the groom; Darla Fyock, cousin to the groom; and Christina Palko, friend to the bride and groom. The flowergirls were Brittany Hanger, cousin to the bride, and Carolyn Fyock, cousin to the groom. The best man was Frederick Widdowson, father of the groom. The ushers were David Pugh, brother to the bride; Tracey Fyock, uncle to the groom; Marty Shepherd, friend to the bride and groom; and Michael Alouf, friend to the bride and groom. The bride wore an off the shoulder, ivory gown, designed and made by her friend, Stephanie Bell. Mrs. Bell also made the sapphire blue bridesmaid's gowns, the periwinkle matron of honor gown and the flowergirl dresses. The bride, who is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. William Pugh III, is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Bridgewater College. She is employed by Woods, Rogers and Hazlegrove. The groom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick C. Widdowson, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Bridgewater College. He is employed by the Equitable. After a trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
