AWARDS GALORE FOR THE CLASS OF 1993

The seniors have departed; the schools are empty; graduations are over. As the Auburn High School yearbook theme so aptly puts it, "There's Life Out There," and the graduates have gone to pursue it.

With them, they've taken many prestigious awards and scholarships. Awards for years of perfect attendance, outstanding vocational and fine-arts accomplishments and superior academic achievements. Scholarships to military schools, state universities, Christian colleges and our own New River Valley institutions: Virginia Tech, Radford University and New River Community College.

Montgomery County native Frank E. Page, who died in 1954, bequeathed funds for deserving students in good academic standing, and more than 15 class of '93 members received the awards. Other scholarships range from $100 to several thousand dollars.
