1 HOKIE, 4 CAVS ALL-STATE IN GOLF

Four University of Virginia players headline the all-state golf team as selected by the Virginia State Golf Coaches Association.

Simon Cooke, Dean Smith, Dan Ladd and Trip Shrevas of the Cavaliers made the first team, along with Brian Sharp of Virginia Tech and Steve Jamroz of Richmond.

Selected for the second team were Clayton Friend of Virginia Tech; Jimmy Flippen, Virginia; Jeff Rutolo, Old Dominion; and Scott Blanks and Jeremy Greville of Virginia Commonwealth.
