Espinosa went 5-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases - including a steal of home - as Salem rebounded from Kinston's doubleheader sweep on Monday to whip the Indians 8-3.
Salem scored in four different innings, and Espinosa was in the middle of it all. He singled home a run in the first; doubled home a run and stole home in the third; kept a three-run fifth alive with an infield hit and a steal; and doubled and scored on a wild pitch in the ninth.
Dan Jones pitched seven strong innings to improve to 3-1. He allowed five hits and three runs while striking out eight and walking one.
Kevin Logsdon took the loss for Kinston, which held Salem to two runs and 10 hits in two games Monday. Logsdon allowed seven runs, only four of which were earned. He committed one of the Indians' four errors.
Salem left fielder Don Garvey made the most of a rare start, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Leadoff hitter Kevin Polcovich scored three runs. \
