CONFEDERATE FLAG GETS RETURN ENGAGEMENT

A Confederate flag will return periodically to the pole outside the Museum of Fine Arts and History after officials reversed a decision to take it down.

"The board voted . . . to utilize the periodic flying of the third national flag of the Confederacy as an educational tool in conjunction with planned programs on dates of historical significance," museum officials said Monday.

Museum officials declined to say how often or when the flag would be flown outside the building, site of the last capitol of the Confederacy. - Associated Press
