TERRY CHALLENGES ALLEN TO MORE REPORT FILING

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mary Sue Terry volunteered Tuesday to file two more campaign finance reports than state law requires if her Republican opponent will do the same.

Terry said that if GOP nominee George Allen joins her, she would file reports with the State Board of Elections on Sept. 1 and Oct. 1 in addition to the report required on Oct. 15.

Allen told reporters he had no comment on Terry's proposal.

When candidates filed their last required report July 15, Terry had raised $3.8 million while Allen had raised $1.2 million.
