CARTOON HIT LOW-WATER MARK

THIS NEWSPAPER should bow its head in shame for the cartoon that ran on the July 14 editorial page.

It showed Noah's Ark floating through Iowa, where people are suffering a terrible hardship from water. The caption over the ark stated, "He got a casino license, in case it doesn't let up soon."

This cartoon with its caption was not only an insult to those people in the Midwest flood, but an insult to the Bible and everyone who reads and believes the story of Noah. CECYL M. WALDROP GOODVIEW
