OBIT WEST, VIRGINIA ELLIOTT
WEST, Virginia Elliott, 77, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, in a
local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. West Jr.
and her son, Charles E. West III. Mrs. West was a member of Belmont Baptist
Church. Surviving are two brothers, Edwin E. Elliott and Sam J. Elliott, both
of Roanoke; two sisters, Florence E. Shepherd and Odelle E. Walker, both of
Roanoke. For those preferring to make memorial contributions, the family
suggests considering Belmont Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Burial Park
by the Rev. Charles A. Watkins. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Roanoke.
