OBIT BECKNER, DENNIS ALVIN

BECKNER, Dennis Alvin, ("Crab Apple"), 58, of Callaway, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson Beckner; and his brother, Cecil Beckner. He is survived by his wife, Faye Spradlin Beckner; daughters and son-in-law, Emily and W.C. Guilliams, Boones Mill, Tammy Beckner, Callaway; sisters, Lorine Holt, Callaway, Josephine Biggs, Martinsville, Geraldine Young, Martinsville, Bonnie Kingery, Roanoke; brothers, Kenneth Beckner, Marvin Beckner, both of Callaway, Alton Beckner, Florida, Mikel Beckner, Wirtz; his mother, Alun Brown Beckner, Callaway. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. at the Bethlehem Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Keith Simmons, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
