OBIT SISK, JAMES MICHAEL

SISK, James Michael, 70, of Austinville, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at his residence. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late Charles Johnson and Lessie Mae Jones Sisk. He was Noble Grand of Iva Lodge #173, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and a member of the I.H. Bralley Memorial Encampment #43. He is survived by his wife, Gay Porter Sisk; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jacqueline Marie Sisk, Springfield, Judy and Tom Reese, Route 2, Max Meadows; one son and daughter-in-law, James M. Jr. and Phyllis Sisk, Glen Allen; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Billy and Jenny Porter, Austinville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several close relative and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Billingsley and Mr. Jack King officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Iva Lodge #173, I.O.O.F. will conduct graveside rites. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday, and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Barnett Funeral Home, or at the residence at any time. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
