A LITTLE CHANGE FOR A LOT OF GOOD

AN IDEA: It seems to me that a good deal of money could be collected for the Mississippi and Missouri River flood victims if grocery-store workers could put a large bank or jar in their stores and ask each customer to put change or bills in it each time they bought groceries. Even children could help. If this caught on nationwide and there was lots of money collected, it could be put in a bank or banks. Then pick Midwestern churches, Jewish temples or Muslims to have people in need to get in touch with them for help. It would have to work on a system of honor, compassion and common sense. It still might be quicker than the government.

A drop in the bucket is only a drop. One drop cannot change color or taste in a 10-quart watering pail. But one drop dropped into the vessel of life can change the water to wine.
