TURNER, Carl D., 81, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and formerly of Laurel
Fork, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 1993, at Murfreesboro. He was born
October 1, 1911, to Edward Milner and Maggie Duncan Turner Sr. He is survived
by his wife, Icy Turner; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Carolyn Turner
of Nashville, Tenn., Mack and Rose Turner of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughters
and sons-in-law, Nancy and Arvel Radford of Nokesville, Va., Evelyn and Jack
McCullough of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
sister, Mary T. Bondurant of Laurel Fork; brother, E. M. Turner Jr. of Laurel
Fork. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 1993, at
the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, with Elder Carbon Vass
officiating. Burial in the Turner-Duncan Cemetery. The family will receive
friends anytime at the home of Howard Turner, Laurel Fork. There will be no
visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
