MULLINS ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Ermine Mullins celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on
July 24, 1993. A reception was given by their children, Bonnie Turpin, Nancy
Ferguson, Teresa Spraker, Bill Mullins, and Kathy Mullins, all of Roanoke
County. The couple has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The
reception was held at Salem Senior Citizen Center. Mrs. Mullins is the former
Edith Gordon of Salem. They were married in Arlington, Va., where Mr. Mullins
served as an M.P. in the U.S. Army from 1940-1945. Roanoke County has been
there place of residence for 44 years. He is retired from Eaton, Inc., where
he was employed by 34 years. She has been a Roanoke County school bus driver
for 22 years. The couple belong to Salem Faith Assembly of God and also
minister as volunteers in area nursing homes with a gospel group known as
"Christian Friends".
