OBIT BOWDEN, MARGARET BOWLING

BOWDEN, Margaret Bowling, 72, of Roanoke, died Saturday July 24,1993 in a local hospital. She was the widow of James E. Bowden. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was a graduate of Longwood College. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Linda Bowden, Roanoke; her son Phillip E. Bowden, Blacksburg; her brother, A. L. Bowling, Lynchburg; and grandchildren, Zeb and Andy, Pembroke; and Jeffrey and Jayci, Roanoke. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell and Rev. Carlotta B. Cochran at St. John's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or to one's favorite charity.
