PATTERSON, Oscar Wade Sr., 100, of Montclair Drive, Roanoke, died Thursday,
July 22, 1993. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Van Everett and
Joyce Patterson and Oscar Patterson Jr., all of Roanoke; four daughters, Cecil
E. Greene, Lillie T. Patterson, both of Roanoke, Barbara Patterson of Silver
Spring, Md., Frances P. Chubb and son-in-law, Richard L. Chubb, also Frederick
Hawkins, all of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Richard Lockette and wife,
Lillian of Maryland, Ornetta Faye Campbell of Maryland, Arnold Patterson and
wife, Kathy of New Jersey, W. Albert Greene Jr. of New Jersey, Andrea Chubb of
Roanoke; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and husband, Lillie and Otho
Williams; a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev.
Charles H. Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Williams Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 8 at Fizer Funeral Home.
