OBIT GODBEY, ROSA PHILLIPS

GODBEY, Rosa Phillips, 95, of Salem, passed away Thursday, July 22, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Godbey; daughters, Virginia G. Mullins and Betty Jane; parents, Thomas and Ardena Marshall Phillips. She is survived by her daughters, Rosalie G. Shelor, Salem, Margueritte G. Wampler, Columbia, Md.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Sadie Covey, Pulaski County. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, 1993, at Cecil's Chapel Cemetery, Pulaski County. The Rev. William A. McDaniel will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Crippled Children's Hospital, c/o Kazim Shrine Temple, 628 Campbell Ave., S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
