OBIT CARTER, PAULINE MAE LOCKETT

CARTER, Pauline Mae Lockett, 88, of Roanoke, died Saturday, July 24, 1993 at the home of her daughter in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was the widow of Claude B. Carter and was a longtime member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Hilda C. and Gorrell W. Parks, Winston-Salem, N.C.; her son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur B. and Katherine Carter, Roanoke; grandchildren, Vicky Rogers of Georgia and Cheryl Carter of Salem; brother and sister-in-law, Warren W. and Florence Lockett; sisters-in-law, Isbel Wilson, Audrey Aldrich and Willie Wisman, all of Roanoke. Graveside funeral service will be held 12 noon Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Park by Rev. Richard L. Elmore. Memorials may be made to the Cave Spring Baptist Church. Friends may call Monday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
