OBIT DELLINGER, GERALDINE CLEM

DELLINGER, Geraldine Clem, 69, of 713 E. Main Street, Bedford, died Tuesday, July 27, 1993 in a Roanoke hospital. She was born in Shenandoah County on December 28, 1923 a daughter of the late Roy M. Clem and Olla M. Ritenour Clem. She was a veteran of World War II and member of VFW Post #2157 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1897 and member of the Bedford Christian Church. She retired from Bedford County Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse with over twenty-three years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordan Rinker Dellinger. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ed Dellinger, Richmond, Rick and Cheri Dellinger, Bedford; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ronnie Miller, Rocky Mount; one sister, Bessanna Trussell, Winchester; two brothers, Camden Clem, Cleveland, Ohio, Warren Clem, Seville, Spain; one grandaughter, Brandi Miller, Rocky Mount; one grandson, Sam Dellinger, Richmond. A funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 1993 at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth E. Burger officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Jerome, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
