OBIT VITA, ANTHONY

VITA, Anthony, 78, of Lexington, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at his home. Mr. Vita was born April 19, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and the son of the late Bruno Vita and Cristina Crupi Vita. He was a retired planning clerk for the Noton Lilley Steam Ship Company and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Marie DelPrete Vita; two sons, Joseph A. Vita and John P. Vita; one daughter, Christine E. Vozzo, all of Lexington; three sisters, Victoria Igneri, Brooklyn, N.Y., Lucy DeMare, Ft. Myers, Fla., Josephine Scaffidi, Huntington, N.Y.; two brothers, Frank Vita, New Jersey, Paul Vita, Staten Island, N.Y.; four grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 1993, at the graveside in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
