AUTO RACING CHARLOTTE OFFERS EXTRA $50,000 FOR WIN

The prospect of winning the All Pro Auto Parts 300 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Oct. 9 got $50,000 sweeter Tuesday.

That's the bonus speedway President H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler is dangling before the winning driver - assuming that driver has won one of the 10 poles leading up to the race.

To qualify for Wheeler's "$50,000 Deal," as it's called, a driver must sit on the pole for races at either: Indianapolis Raceway Park on Saturday; Michigan International Speedway Aug. 14; New Hampshire International Speedway Aug. 22; Bristol International Raceway Aug. 27; Darlington International Raceway Sept. 4; Richmond International Raceway Sept. 10; Dover Downs International Speedway Sept. 18; Orange County Speedway Oct. 2; or Charlotte Oct. 9.
