CONDEMNED INMATE CHARGED IN 2ND KILLING

A death row inmate was charged Wednesday with the capital murder of a 19-year-old Alexandria man.

Alexandria police had identified Bobby Lee Ramdass, 21, as a suspect shortly after the murder of Darrell Ferguson on July 15, 1992, but waited until Ramdass was tried and convicted of capital murder in Fairfax before filing charges.

Ramdass was sentenced to death for the killing of a Franconia convenience store clerk during a 1992 robbery.
