EDWARD MCCUE JR., EX-LEGISLATOR, DIES

Edward Overton McCue Jr., a retired state legislator from Charlottesville, has died of cancer at age 92.

McCue died Tuesday, said his son, Edward O. McCue III.

McCue represented Charlottesville and several surrounding counties in the House of Delegates from 1934 to 1950, and a larger territory around the city in the Virginia Senate from 1950 through 1967.

He was a Democrat and usually a supporter of the Byrd organization that ran Virginia's government. - Associated Press
