OBIT O'BRIEN, WARREN THOMAS, ("O'BIE")

O'BRIEN, Warren Thomas, ("O'Bie"), 75, of Roanoke County, died Monday, July 26, 1993. Mr. O'Brien was born in Malden, Mass., and was educated at Massachusetts Institute of Technology through the General Electric apprentice program with concentration in mechanical engineering. Mr. O'Brien had a distinguished career with the General Electric Corp. and retired after 25 years of service. Mr. O'Brien was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy C. O'Brien; and he is survived by his son, Brent Clifton O'Brien; daughter, Holly O'Brien Haddan; two stepdaughters, Linda Wiesler and Donna Snow; a stepson, Drew O'Brien; two granddaughters, Heather Lynn Haddan and Carrie Lee O'Brien; one stepgranddaughter, April Penner. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Housecall Hospice, 2167 Apperson Dr., Salem, Va. 24153. A memorial service will be at Oakey's South Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Jim Riach officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at Oakey's South Chapel.
