WHO, WHEN & WHERE

Fret Mill Music Co., of Salem will host a Wolf Marshall Guitar Workshop on Aug. 3 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at their City Market location in downtown Roanoke.

Wolf Marshall, a contemporary guitar educator, author and transcriber will speak on teaching and learning guitar. He will also perform.

The workshop is open to all guitar students and teachers, and admission is free. For reservations, call Fret Mill Music Co. at 982-6686.

\ Dance classes

Roanoke Ballet Theatre is offering its summer ``Try it, you'll like it'' workshops in ballet, tap and jazz for students of all ages and levels.

Registration for the Aug. 2-27 workshops costs $8 per class, or $9 per class if registering after Aug. 1. For $99, students can take unlimited classes. Students enrolled in the workshops will be evaluated for acceptance into the Company's 1993-94 season.
