ADMINISTRATIVE SHUFFLE CONTINUES AT REGENT

The dean of Regent University's divinity school has been reassigned by the board of trustees in the third change of a top administrator at the Pat Robertson-founded institution in two months.

Jerry Horner, who founded Regent's divinity school in 1982, has been assigned to a new position as "ambassador to the nations" to help create international extension programs for Regent.

Horner declined to comment Wednesday on the move but has not resisted it. "I don't want another Herb Titus situation," he said.

Titus, the founding dean of Regent's law school, was offered an endowed chair to step down as dean earlier this month in a move seen as enhancing the school's prospects for American Bar Association accreditation.

However, Titus refused the new position and left Regent.

In May, Regent President David J. Gyertson resigned to become president of Asbury College in Kentucky. -Associated Press
